# TopicFeed Focus Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how TopicFeed Focus handles data.

## Data storage
- TopicFeed Focus stores user-entered keywords, saved YouTube video links, and the optional support-link setting.
- All data is stored locally in the browser extension storage.
- No data is sent to the developer or to a developer-operated server.

## Data collection
- The extension does not collect personal data.
- The extension does not collect browsing history beyond using YouTube page content locally to build the custom home feed.
- No analytics, tracking, telemetry, or third-party scripts are used.

## Network requests
- To build each topic section, the extension requests YouTube search results from `youtube.com` using the keywords the user saved.
- These requests go directly from the user's browser to YouTube and are subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Saved video links and the optional support-link setting are not sent to the developer.

## Permissions
- The extension only requests the `storage` permission.
- It runs on `https://www.youtube.com/*` to customize the YouTube home page.
- No broad host permissions are requested.

## Third-party services
- No third-party tracking or analytics services are integrated.
- The support link feature is optional and points to the user-provided Buy Me a Coffee URL.
- If a user chooses to support the project via Buy Me a Coffee, the developer may receive that contribution.

## User control
- Users can edit or remove keywords and saved videos at any time.
- All saved content is stored locally and remains under the user's control.

## Summary
TopicFeed Focus is designed for private, distraction-free YouTube browsing with minimal data handling. It stores only user-provided content locally and does not transmit personal information or use external tracking.
